Menurut Murtadha Muthahhari prinsip Asalat Mahiyah tidak dapat menyelesaikan problema tauhid, kausalitas, wujud rabit dsb. Tetapi sebelumnya perlu disadari bahwa polemik antara dua prinsip ini bukan sekedar permainan kata-kata tapi memang memiliki relevansi dengan isu penting filsafat. Menurut Muthahhari solusi yang ditawarkan asalat mahiyah berujung pada deadlock (kebuntuan) . misalnya isu individuasi (tasyakhus) asalat mahiyah tidak menawarkan solusi apapun. tapi dengan asalat wujud, isu tauhid, transformasi substansial, penafian jabr dan tafwid, dan isu harakah istidadi dan takamuli.

Tampaknya asalat mahiyah ala Mirdamad perlu dieskpose untuk menandingi dominasi dan hegemoni Asalat wujud Mulla sadra yang terus menerus dieksplore dan ditafsirkan dan dikembangkan sehingga memasuki dan dijadikan pisau analisa untuk disiplin-disiplin yang lain. bahkan yang tadinya tidak menyadari bahwa yang dibahas dalam filsafatnya itu hanyalah konseptual semata-mata (meskipun antara konsep (mafhum) dan mahiyah ada perbedaan,namun juga ada beberahap hal yang identik), menjadi sadar bahwa yang digeluti sementara ini hanyalah konseptual, mental, kognisi dan jauh dari realita, dengan berkembangnya prinsip asalat wujud, menjadi terpapar dua analisa yang distingtif analisa eksistensial berbasiskan dunia obyektif ,ekternal dan analsia konseptual hanyalah konsep semata-mata.

Asalat mahiyah dan Itibari Wujud Dalam sejarahnya, prinsipini tidak memiliki cerita yang panjang , ia adlaah respon atau terbenam dan kemudian mencuat terekonstruksi menjadi bangunan yang mapan, yang ingin mengantisipasi hegemoni asalat wujud wa i'tibari mahiyah.
